Sacrament of Healing

In second grade students begin learning about making choices and how choices can effect their relationship with God. In the winter students in second grade will make their First Reconciliation. 

​

Reconciliation is available weekdays and weekends throughout the Harvest of Hope.

​

Reconciliation Services are offered in Advent and Lent at the parishes. 

​

You may also call the office of Seven Dolors if you would like to schedule a confession time.

Examination of Conscience

Before celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation take time to reflect on one's thoughts, words, and deeds in order to identify any sins.

Steps to a good confession

Five Steps For a Good Confession
1. Examine your conscience.
2. Be sincerely sorry for your sins.
3. Confess your sins to a priest.
4. Resolve to amend your life.
5. After your confession, do the penance the priest assigns.

Act of Contrition 

There are a variety of versions of the Act of Contrition. Each generally includes an expression of sorrow, acknowledgement of wrongdoing, and a promise to try harder.
